Since returning from the Wekiva Paint Out it has been painting non-stop to complete the new pieces I am taking to the International Art Expo in New York next week.
I leave tomorrow and the show opens on Thursday at the Pier 94 Exhibit Center in New York City. I would love to see any that read this post at the Show. My booth is 518 and if you come, please stop by to say hello. The painting below is one of the new ones I just completed for the show but I'm still painting today!!!

This lastweek I participated in the Wekiwa Plein Air Paint Out at Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka, FL. This is one of the five paintings I did during the week and is the smallest, a 5" x 7" oil painting of lily pads floating in the river which I called "Going Green".

As an artist raised in the Midwest, the natural beauty of the coastal shoreline has always intrigued and amazed me. I particularly liked the subject matter and the effect of the light, which enhanced the colors, creating unique and interesting reflections and shadows. I strive to blend the fine nuances of color, texture and shapes to create an image that draws the viewer to a pleasant experience. As I continue to paint and continue to grow, I find landscape painting a real challenge as well as a great joy. I use linen canvas on boards or stretched, using professional grade oil paints. My body of work is composed of both Studio and Plein Air paintings
